At Creative Learning Academy, Mind, Brain, and Education (MBE) is a foundational lens for how we teach and support every student, shaping daily classroom practice and schoolwide decision-making. All faculty are expected to engage with and apply MBE principles, whether or not they arrive with prior training, using research-based strategies from cognitive science and neuroscience to design effective, inclusive, and brain-friendly learning environments that attend to development, motivation, attention, and memory.
Candidates should be eager to participate in ongoing professional learning, including training through the Center for Transformative Teaching and Learning, in order to deepen their understanding and use of MBE practices. This shared commitment ensures that our faculty speaks a common language about how students learn and continually refines instruction to meet the evolving needs of all learners.
Instructional Assistant (ages 3-5) - This individual will serve as an integral member of the early childhood team, supporting a Montessori classroom for children ages 3–5. The instructional assistant will work closely with the lead teacher to maintain a calm, well-prepared environment, help organize and rotate Montessori materials, and support children as they engage in practical life, sensorial, language, math, and cultural activities. With a focus on nurturing independence, cooperation, and social-emotional growth, this person will model respectful communication, observe and respond to students’ needs, and partner with the lead teacher to foster a peaceful, joyful classroom community. The ideal candidate has prior classroom experience and education in early childhood education. Experience in a Montessori learning environment is preferred. Full-time position, 10 month employee.
3rd Grade Teacher - Classroom Teacher with Concentration in Language Arts- Creative Learning Academy seeks a full-time lower school teacher for third grade with emphasis on language arts instruction. The ideal candidate should have experience with balanced literacy approaches and possess a deep understanding of reading comprehension strategies and writing development. Experience with workshop models is preferred; candidates must be able to guide students through the writing process, implement effective reading strategies, and differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs. The teacher should be skilled in teaching grammar and mechanics within the context of authentic writing, facilitating literature discussions, and developing students' critical thinking through text analysis. As part of a collaborative team, the third grade teacher will be expected to engage in regular planning with grade level partners and subject area colleagues to ensure alignment of curriculum and activities. Bachelor's degree in elementary education or related field is required. Candidates must have at least three years of relevant classroom teaching experience. Full-time position, 10 month employee.
Upper Elementary / Middle School Science Teacher (5th & 6th) - Creative Learning Academy is seeking a full-time 5th & 6th Grade Science Teacher for the 2026–27 school year. The qualified candidate will guide students through an inquiry-based, NGSS-aligned program that includes Mystery Science in Grade 5 and IQWST in Grade 6, helping students investigate anchor phenomena in Earth, physical, and life sciences. Students explore topics such as our place in the solar system, ecosystems and food webs, chemical changes, water systems, changes in energy, and the particle nature of matter while developing skills in questioning, modeling, data collection, and scientific explanation. The teacher will design hands-on investigations, integrate the engineering design process, and use formative and summative assessments to build scientific literacy over time. Candidates should have a degree in Science Education or a related field and prior classroom experience; experience with NGSS and three-dimensional science instruction is preferred. Full-time position, 10 month employee.
Upper Elementary / Middle School Math Teacher (5th & 6th) – Creative Learning Academy is seeking a full-time 5th & 6th Grade Math Teacher. The qualified candidate will guide students through a rigorous, conceptually rich Singapore Math–based program that develops deep understanding and strong problem-solving skills in number, operations, fractions, ratios, geometry, and early algebraic thinking. Students engage with mathematics through the Concrete–Pictorial–Abstract (CPA) progression, bar modeling, number bonds, and mental math strategies while learning to explain their reasoning, compare solution methods, and persevere through challenging problems. The teacher will design lessons that prioritize sense-making over rote procedures, incorporate rich word problems and non-routine tasks, and use ongoing formative and summative assessments to monitor understanding and differentiate instruction. Candidates should have a degree in Mathematics, Elementary Education, or a related field and prior classroom experience; experience with Singapore Math curricula and practices is preferred. Full-time position, 10 month employee.
Middle School English Teacher (7th & 8th) - This individual will serve as an integral part of the middle school team by supporting the school’s advisory and elective programs in addition to core coursework. Our English program centers student voice and choice, giving learners daily time for independent writing on personally meaningful topics, supported by focused teacher feedback and inspiration from mentor texts within a collaborative classroom community. Reading instruction follows research-based principles from the science of reading, with explicit teaching of foundational skills, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, and metacognitive strategies, alongside rich discussions of high-quality texts that build critical thinking and a lasting love of literature. Grammar and vocabulary are intentionally woven into reading and writing experiences through engaging, targeted lessons and practice, ensuring that every student grows as a confident, capable communicator. Candidates should have a degree in Middle School Education, English or related field and a minimum of three years in a classroom environment. Full-time position, 10 month employee.
