Kindergarten Instructional Assistant

The instructional assistant is responsible for assisting and supporting the kindergarten teacher in delivering all aspects of the kindergarten curriculum. The assistant is a full-day position working closely with and under the direct supervision of the assigned kindergarten teacher, providing assistance in maintaining a well-organized, appropriate classroom environment conducive to teaching and learning.

Ideal candidates will understand and practice student differentiation, understand and know how to facilitate hands-on and flexible learning, enjoy small classes, have appropriate and relevant past teaching experience, have experience team teaching and working collaboratively with other teachers, and desire to be a contributing member of a nurturing and small school community. Candidates should also have strong communication skills and be comfortable using various forms of technology. CLA requires a Level II background check for all potential employees.

After School Care Coordinator

We are looking for energetic and committed staff for our 2019-20 after school program to coordinate and implement age-appropriate activities for students. This is a part time position, work hours are 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on regularly scheduled school days. Essential duties include but not limited, engaging students in enrichment activities, games, snack and homework support. Responsibilities include maintaining attendance, ensure daily safety of children, and effective classroom management skills. Ensure areas and equipment used by program are clean and maintained. Secure building and equipment. Ideal applicants should have experience working with children from 3 yrs – 8th grade. Maintain required certification and training, such as CPR/First Aid, etc. Experience in child supervision and Level II background check required.

Substitute Teacher – all areas.

• Bachelor’s degree with a background in education or child development
• Understanding of child development
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to be “on-call” for both short-term and long-term positions
• Dependable, responsible, and reliable
• Enthusiastic, energetic, and flexible
• Teaching experience preferred.
