Resources for Summer Learning Activities

The art of teaching is the art of assisting discovery.

—Mark Van Doren

Summer should be about long lazy nights, hot days drifting by slowly, with cool breezes reminding you to shift direction. Taking time to slow down is important, however, it should be balanced with activities that encourage engagement, curiosity, and wonder. Keeping the body and mind energized and strong is a great way to avoid the “summer slide.” In order to preserve your child's academic progress, we are offering ideas for enrichment activities as well as our usual required reading work.

We encourage families to use this guide as a source of information to Create, Learn, And Explore this summer!
