SPORTS NEWS... Congratulations to the Varsity Basketball Team for capturing the championship in the West Florida Christian Conference going undefeated in the pre-season tournament, regular season, and post-season tournament. CLA also finished 3rd in the Catholic Youth Sports League. For the year, the Varsity team finished with a record of 27 wins and 1 loss. Congratulations Dragons team members: Sami Al-Sheikh, Ian Bellard, Caleb Colvin, James Elliott, Meghan Greskovich, Brian Juba, Dylan Mikell, Tony Miller, Randall Patrinely, Jake Sauls, and Coaches Art Merlan, Dr. Patrinely, Trip Carter, Spencer Mullet, and Graham Parsons. Pentathlon Latin Level 1 Cognomen (aka Brain Bowl) team was led to First Place by Sarah Razek, Graham Parsons, David Fleischhauer and Chrissa Harmon *Pensacola came in Third Place overall at the Latin Form all-day competition at PJC.

INCLEMENT WEATHER PROCEDURES...When adverse weather threatens the Pensacola area, CLA follows the Escambia County School District. If the county schools are closed due to weather, CLA will be closed too. If the county schools do not close, CLA will not close. Updates on school closings can be found on television station WEAR Channel 3, radio WXBF 102.7 FM and the Escambia County Emergency Management Office at 595-3311. Be sure to use your Albertsons and Target cards when shopping; cash rebates are retunred to CLA. Remember to turn in your Boxtops for Education found on General Mills Products! Look carefully before throwing boxes and wrappers away...it's a great way to support CLA!
