Preprimary
classes
(3 and 4 year olds) are based on Montessori philosophy and are
tailored to the individual child's social and academic growth.
It is rich in language arts, math, science, geography, and the
practical arts. CLA's enrichment staff provides expert instruction
in Spanish language, computers, music, art and physical education.
Both a morning-only and full-day option are available.
Lower
School
continues a child-centered approach
within a traditional preparatory school structure and curriculum.
The low student-teacher ratio enables the faculty to address each
student's academic potential. Enrichment offerings include general
music, studio art, Spanish language, multiple levels of computer
instruction, and physical education.
Middle
School
continues its commitment to small class sizes and personal attention.
Students take a challenging prescribed curriculum of core academic
courses and select from an extensive array of electives. Spanish
and Latin languages are offered, as well as art, music, technology,
and research instruction. Interscholastic sports are an important
part of middle school and full participation is encouraged.
CLA's
graduates
routinely distinguish themselves in secondary education, including
International Baccalaureate programs, top-flight boarding schools,
and local public or private high schools. Parents and students
alike credit their success to the preparation provided by the
Creative Learning Academy.
